The Bulletin - Issue 12

Citizens, staffers, and brave souls wandering the halls of the Habbo White House….

The Bulletin has risen from its haunted slumber and clawed its way back into your screens. Strange happenings have been reported across government grounds: pumpkins have appeared where paperwork once sat, shadows lurk in meeting rooms, and at least one official may or may not have been transformed into a cat. Coincidence? We think not.

This Halloween season, we're excited to introduce something new to The Bulletin, at least from me as Press Secretary! To encourage community engagement and participation, several features throughout this week's edition now include Credit prizes for lucky winners. From riddles to crosswords and other special activities, citizens will have opportunities to test their knowledge, showcase their skills, and earn rewards along the way. Better yet, this won't be limited to Halloween. Moving forward, The Bulletin will continue exploring ways to reward active participation and make each edition a little more interactive for our readers. So keep an eye out, join the fun, and you just might walk away with a few extra Credits in your pocket.

As the veil between the ordinary and the spooky grows thin, the Office of Communications has gathered the latest news, updates, and spectral sightings from around the administration. So grab a flashlight, keep one eye on the shadows, and enjoy this special Halloween edition of The Bulletin...

The Department of State is pleased to report that interagency relations remain strong, with departments continuing to work collaboratively to support the mission of the Habbo White House. Cooperation across government offices has helped foster an active and engaged community, and those partnerships will be on full display in the coming days.

Looking ahead, the Department of State is partnering with FiS to host a special Halloween themed Joint Event on October 29th at 5:00 PM BST / 1:00 AM GMT+9. White Houser’s can look forward to an evening packed with spooky fun, featuring eight exciting games, and a total prize pool of 200 Credits. Whether you're competing for prizes, showing off your Halloween spirit, or simply joining the festivities, this event promises to be a fang-tastic celebration of interagency cooperation and community engagement.

So grab your costumes, sharpen your pumpkin carving skills, and prepare for a night of friendly competition. The ghosts, ghouls, and government officials alike are counting down the hours!

The Office of Public Engagement continues to oversee the ongoing White House Autumn Awards, with votes currently being reviewed and carefully tallied. Enthusiasm for the awards has been strong, and the office is working diligently behind the scenes to ensure every vote is counted before the final results are announced.

Citizens eager to discover this season's winners won't have to wait much longer. An official announcement is expected soon from Secretary of the Interior Serenthia, who will also be revealing details about the event that follows the awards ceremony. As anticipation continues to build, the Office of Public Engagement encourages everyone to keep an eye out for upcoming announcements and preparations for what promises to be another exciting community event.

With autumn leaves falling and Halloween festivities in full swing, the race for this season's honors is nearing its conclusion. Who will claim the titles, the recognition, and bragging rights until the next awards season? Stay tuned!

The Department of Defense reports that the current DEFCON Level remains at 3, reflecting a state of heightened readiness as the administration continues to monitor for potential security concerns. Fortunately, this week has been uneventful in the best possible way, with no new threats emerging and no incidents involving fake badges, trolls, or other disruptions to government operations.

Credit for the calm atmosphere goes in no small part to the department's dedicated security efforts. While ghosts, goblins, and other Halloween creatures may be roaming the halls this week, none have managed to breach White House security. With Tony faithfully holding down the gates, citizens and staff alike can rest easy knowing that the nation's first line of defense remains alert and at the ready.

The Department reminds all visitors that while costumes are encouraged, fake credentials are not. If you're a vampire, werewolf, or wandering spirit, please be prepared to present valid identification upon entry.

Think you've got what it takes to unravel a puzzle brewed in a witch's cauldron of Halloween knowledge and White House fun? This edition's Halloween Crossword Challenge, curated by yours truly, is now open for all brave puzzle-solvers! Hidden among the clues are spooky words, seasonal traditions, and a few tricks that may leave you scratching your head before shouting "Aha!" at your screen.

The challenge comes with a 10 Credit prize for the first participant to submit a fully completed and correct crossword. If multiple entrants manage to crack the puzzle, all qualifying submissions will be entered into a spinner wheel, and one lucky winner will be selected at random to take home the prize. So sharpen your pencils, dust off your detective skills, and see if you can conquer this haunted crossword before the competition does. Good luck, and happy hunting!

This week's quote comes from the beloved Aggie Cromwell, whose wisdom helped make Halloweentown a Halloween classic for an entire generation. While the quote speaks of magic, its message extends far beyond spells and broomsticks. Sometimes the greatest obstacle standing between us and our goals is the belief that we aren't capable, deserving, or ready to pursue them. Aggie reminds us that courage often begins with allowing ourselves to dream and then taking the first step toward making those dreams a reality.

As Halloween approaches, it's fitting to reflect on a character who taught audiences that magic isn't just found in enchanted worlds, but in confidence, determination, and believing in oneself. Whether you're striving for a new achievement, supporting your community, or simply looking for a little inspiration, remember Aggie's timeless advice: sometimes the magic we're searching for has been within us all along.

Think you've got a sharp mind beneath that witch's hat? This week's Riddle of the Week is here to put your puzzle-solving skills to the test. Hidden within its words is a single answer, waiting to be uncovered by the keenest detectives, cleverest scholars, and perhaps even a few wandering spirits. Take your time, think carefully, and don't let the tricks of the season lead you astray.

Participants who correctly solve the riddle will be eligible to win a 5 Credit prize. If more than one person submits the correct answer, all successful entries will be placed onto a spinner wheel, and one lucky winner will be randomly selected to claim the reward. So gather your wits, trust your instincts, and see if you can unravel this week's mystery. Good luck, and may your reasoning be sharper than a vampire's fangs!

Outfit of the Week was temporarily pushed aside for a showcase this week.
While this year's Halloween costume competition takes center stage under the watchful eye of Secretary Serenthia, I still wanted to take a moment to spotlight a few spooky looks that caught my attention around the Habbo White House this week. This isn't a grand competition or an official ranking, just a small showcase of some creative costumes, seasonal outfits, and Halloween spirit displayed by members of our community. From eerie ensembles to festive autumn fashion, these are the looks that made me stop and take a second glance while making my rounds.

With so many citizens embracing the season, narrowing down a handful of outfits was no easy task. While Serenthia's competition remains the premier destination for showcasing Halloween creativity, consider this section a friendly nod to the community members helping bring the spooky atmosphere to life one costume at a time. Whether you're dressed as a ghost, a witch, or something altogether more mysterious, thank you for helping make the White House a little more haunted this Halloween season.

If you recognize your look, drop a recognition in the comments!

And with that, another edition of The Bulletin fades back into the shadows. As Halloween draws near, we hope you've enjoyed this frightfully festive collection of updates, contests, riddles, costumes, and community highlights. Whether you're competing for prizes, attending upcoming events, or simply enjoying the spooky season with friends, thank you for helping make the Habbo White House a welcoming and active place for all.

As you leave, please remember a few important Halloween safety tips: do not accept policy advice from ghosts, do not challenge witches to debates after midnight, and if you encounter a suspicious skeleton wandering the halls, kindly verify that it's a decoration and not a member of Congress running late to a meeting.

From all of us in the Office of Communications, have a safe, fun, and delightfully spooky Halloween. We'll see you in the next edition of The Bulletin... assuming the spirits permit it.
