Strong evidence is the backbone of every case handled by the Department of Justice. A clear, complete screenshot can be the difference between a case moving forward and one being dismissed. This guide shows you exactly what good evidence looks like, what to avoid, and how to capture it correctly.
In general, every piece of evidence should be complete, uncropped, and provide full context, including the offence, the time it happened, the location, and the people involved.
This is a strong in-game screenshot. It captures the entire scene with nothing cropped out or edited.
✅ The entire conversation is visible, nothing is taken out of context.
✅ The time of the offence is visible in the chat log.
✅ The room info box shows the room name and owner.
✅ The system date and time are visible in the taskbar.
This screenshot would not be accepted as valid evidence. While it shows the game, it is missing the critical details needed to support a case.
❌ No timestamps on the chat, so the time of any offence cannot be proven.
❌ No clear offence captured, it only shows casual conversation.
❌ Lacks context, there is nothing to show what is being reported.
❌ Without these details, the DoJ cannot act on it.
Evidence from the thehabbowh.org website should be captured with Evidence Mode enabled (see the guide below). Here is a proper example.
✅ The website URL is visible in the address bar.
✅ Evidence Mode is enabled, showing the date, time and username at the bottom of the page.
✅ Full context is captured, nothing is cropped out or obscured.
Evidence Mode adds a verified stamp of the date, time and your username to the bottom of any website page, making your screenshot valid evidence. Click each step to expand it.
Click your username in the top-right corner of the website to open the account menu.
Under Services, click Evidence Mode. You'll see a "Success! Evidence Mode Toggled" confirmation.
Once toggled, your date, time and username appear at the bottom of the screen. You can now take a valid evidence screenshot.
Read each scenario, decide if it's ✅ Good or ❌ Bad evidence, then click to reveal the verdict! 🔮
✅ GOOD! It has full context, timestamps, and the room details. This is exactly what the DoJ needs.
❌ BAD! Cropped, no timestamp, no context. It can't prove who said it, when, or where. It would be rejected.
✅ GOOD! Evidence Mode verifies the date, time and username, and the URL confirms the source. Textbook website evidence.
❌ BAD! Edited evidence can't be trusted, it may be seen as tampered. Always submit the original, unedited screenshot.
