White House Easter Celebrations

White House Easter Celebrations
What does Easter at the White House look like?
Our dear events team has now been established and to top it off they also brought us an Easter weekend packed with activities.
Starting off right after our weekly general meeting, on the 3rd of April, the Eggstravagant Fits costume contest started. Everyone had the chance to submit their own Easter themed outfit for the chance to win 20c - as well as bragging rights. After deliberation from our Director of Engagement & Outreach ,97, the decided winner of our outfit competition was TaroBubbleTea! Congratulations!
When asked about the inspiration for the outfit, TaroBubbleTea said this;

"Got the hat and makeup. Hated the make up. Turned myself purple."
On saturday the 4th of april the Easter Maze opened and instantly saw an influx of people trying it out. Some frustrated, many triumphant. On the first day some people had already racked up 10+ points on the leaderboard.

The maze featured rooms with various puzzles. First a room where you needed to dodge bunnies as you crossed. Secondly a room full of hidden chia bunnys that needed to be found.

There was then a roller maze with eggs to be picked up along the way. After that a red light green light maze to slowly sneak through.

Everyone who completed the maze got entered into a raffle where 3 lucky winners recieved 50c each. A big congratulations to our winners of the Easter Maze T-im, .Martin and TaroBubbleTea! I also want to give a big shoutout to funky840 who completed the maze a wopping total of 29 times!
On Sunday the 5th of April the White House Egg Hunt opened where employees and VIPs needed to search for the hidden eggs across estate. As the hunt progressed the eggs got more and more difficult to find.

The ones who completed the egg hunt also got entered into a raffle. This time 3 lucky winners receved 25c each. A big congratulations to our winners of the Egg Hunt bleepz_, Crayans and Nica!
Both these events took an unbelievable amount work and it was all built and wired by our dear Secretary of Energy d-gen. When asked about his thoughts about the holiday events he had this to say;
"It was extremely fun to work closely with the rest of the events team in planning and executing the Easter events over the past weekend! The maze and egg hunt component took quite a bit of wiring, but it was nice to see everyone enjoying the events and receiving positive feedback helped us understand how we can create more engaging events for the community in the future. Wishing everyone a happy Easter and thank you all for taking part in our Easter events~"
On monday the 6th of April we capped of the Easter celebrations with an Easter Trivia hosted by yours truly, Press Secretary gatorgal. After 15 questions of varying difficulty our winner of 100c and bragging rights was declared. Congratulations SycamoreTree!
The Easter Trivia in full swing.
Our Director of Engagement and Outreach ,97 did a fantastic job in organizing all of the Easter weekends efforts. From brainstorming to deligating he has been the rock of the Easter celebration. When I asked him on his thoughts he replied with this message for you all;
"I'd like to thank my team within the Office of Public Engagement, d-gen and jackdaniel4 as well as gatorgal, for their support in putting together our Easter activities, as well as our President for accommodating our requests.
Thank you as well to everyone who took part, we hope you enjoyed the activities!
Now that the office is fully staffed and we've begun building a strong events team, we're hoping to run events more frequently. Looking ahead, we'll be exploring upcoming awareness days and national events, and seeing how we can build themed activities around them, similar to what we've done for Easter."
And with that we bring this Easter holiday to a close. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone who participated this weekend. Organizing this was made all the more rewarding seeing everyones reactions and feeling the joy within our community.
Happy Easter & Spring Equinox!
