Debate in Session: Vice President Chairs Low Ranks Amendment
27th January

Presiding over the Lower House debate session, the Vice President led discussions on the Low Ranks (Amendment) Bill, which is currently on Stage 2. The Representatives of Virginia, the Virgin Islands, and Florida were in attendance. This bill, submitted by the Representative of Florida, discusses the possibility of 8iC and 9iC to train Low Ranks (LR) when no other trainers are available.

After chairing the debate, the Vice President issued a statement to the Press Secretary. He stated:

Having my first opportunity to preside in the House today was a tremendous experience. Out with my experience as an old executive member, prior to my executive experience I spent a lot of time in the legislative branch. I loved presiding back in the day, I thoroughly enjoy it and I cannot wait to do it again!

The Vice President Calls for Retention, Engagement and Modernized Operations
26th January

Monday morning saw the Vice President meeting with the Department of the Interior alongside the Chief of Staff to discuss a range of things, including tasks, HQ adaptations, modernizing the wired, improving retention, and more. The meeting lasted around two hours and was very productive.

After the meeting, the Vice President spent time writing letters to the President, branch leaders and their deputies. He also opened chats with the legislative branch with regards to the legislative process and any possibility of streamlining that process.

Below we took a statement from the Vice President on this matter, which he replied:

I have written to the President with regards to potential HQ changes, these changes allowing us to adapt to the way the Habbo agency world is adapting. The HQ we have is great and I would not change a thing, however making additions to allow us more game opportunity, adding more wired to relieve some stress from members. These are things we will discuss to implement. I also want to say that I have sent communication to branch leaders, applauding their success on growing their branches, however we are in a position now in which we must work to retain what we have, not only retain but engage and encourage those very members. We have such great talent, talent that is ready to debate, ready to participate in court and ready to participate in role play based guarding opportunities, it's our job to provide those opportunities and ensure that they are frequent to get the best out of our members. I also initiated a discussion with the House, offering my services as a presiding officer but also discussing ways to streamline our legislative process and ensure legislation isn't hauled in that process. This is all for the benefit of our establishment. We have done so well within the first month, now we need to learn in order to grow and I believe we can and I cannot wait to do my part. Thank you <3
