Part 2, Section 2(1) of the Code of Conduct Act 2025 states:

"The following shall apply to all Branch Employees: Wear the valid Group Badge, motto and uniform if applicable."

I acknowledge my responsibility to maintain a valid motto under this provision. However, my original motto complied with the required format and had been provided to me during training by Imbroglio. Once we were back in HQ, Imbroglio instructed me to amend my motto by adding "XD" to the end. Relying on the guidance provided by the individual overseeing the training, I complied with this instruction.

Shortly afterwards, Imbroglio publicly drew attention to my motto, which resulted in other members mocking it. As the invalid portion of the motto had been added solely because I was following his direct instruction, I believe it is important to recognise that I acted in good faith based on guidance from a senior member, rather than intentionally failing to comply with Part 2, Section 2(1) of the Code of Conduct Act 2025.

I am also concerned that, had the issue been identified by another staff member, I may have been issued a warning or strike for having an incorrect motto, despite only making the change because I was following Imbroglio's direct instruction.

The Department of Justice has declined the case.

This decision is issued pursuant to Prosecution Act 2025, Part 4 — Submitted Cases, Section 2 — Declining the Case (Department of Justice), Subsection 1, Clause 3, which provides that:

“The evidence provided does not relate to the offence accused, or is invalid”

Kas? has requested an Ethic Board review, This board did not certify the evidence presented.

As a result, the Department of Justice is unable to continue processing the case and must formally reject the submission in accordance with the authority granted under the cited law.

Accordingly, this case is declined.
